The aim of world of diversity is to promote all things diverse and inclusive. We will focus on empowering children by celebrating and appreciating the things that make them different. Every individual has a pivotal role to play in promoting diversity as everyone has something about them that is different. “The things that we share in our world are far more valuable than those which divide us.” – Donald Williams.
Millions of children's books are sold every year however only a small percentage of diverse children's books are sold annually. Diverse and inclusive literature is vital for a child's development.
Children's books serve as a tool in enabling Children to gain a better understanding of both their own culture and the cultures of others. Once children understand themselves and the diversity in our society, they can look past the physical attributes of people and love one another wholeheartedly .
